Looking for Mermaids?

Poster: judyc (see this users gallery) Here is my entry for the May Sketch Challenge. The boys had a great day collecting shells and rocks. Was Dad looking for Mermaids? I have downloaded the mermaid from a clip art site and stylised it to give it depth and texture. I hope I have not breached any Copywrite Laws. As I am new to this any feedback on the subject of copwrite is appreciated.

I think it is adorable and if someone has it on the internet and hasn't protected the image then as long as you are using it for personal use, it is fair game. Don't know if you could have something like this published but for your own use, GO FOR IT Smile

Not sure about the copyright thing - most of those sites with clip art, etc, outline how you can use the work. An original way to display beach photos.
