My name is Tammie Harris but I am known to most people as Tam. I am 29 years old and have been married to my husband Brad for over eight years. We have 2 gorgeous scrapping subjects Jasmine who is 6 and Ethan who is 3.
Where do you live? Brisbane Queensland.
When did you start Scrapbooking? About 6 years ago.
How did you get started? Like many other people, I was introduced to this fabulous craft through
Creative Memories. A friend in my mother's group brought her album to one of our get togethers and it was gorgeous. Another friend's mother was a
creative memories consultant so we attended a beginners workshop with her. Right from my first encounter with scrapbooking I was hooked.
What other crafts have you dabbled in? sewing, beading/ jewelery making, making/decorating children's birthday cakes. Photography, painting,
patchwork. I have always been arty/ crafty and have tried many crafts. I mainly focus on scrapbooking, photography and beading these days.
Do you incorporate them in your Scrapbooking? Obviously photograhy is incorporated into scrapbooking. I used sewing a fair bit and
have incorporated beading into my creations in the past also.
How often do you Scrapbook? At least once a week. I try to fit it in whenever I can.
How many layouts/projects do you usually complete weekly? 2-3
How do you store your layouts? I store my
layouts in D ring albums, they are so easy to use.
What size project do you prefer to scrap? I mainly scrap 12x12 but also do 81/2 by 11" and have tried all other sizes. I really enjoy creating otp projects!
Where do you draw your inspiration from? I draw inspiration from my photos mainly but also am constantly inspired by things around me such as
advertising, clothing (particularly children's clothing patterns) and the amazingly huge reange of products that are available these days.
How do you deal with Scrapper's Block? I take a bit of a break I don't like to force my layouts. I will surf the net looking for inspiration or get out my magazines, that usually works.
Have you been published? Yes. For Keeps, I have a layout accepted to be published in an upcoming
Scrapbooking Memories magazine and have had a number of my layouts and OTP projects published in the Basic Grey Gallery.
